The Zolberg Institute for Migration and Mobility has partnered with the international Cities and Human Mobility Research Collaborative. Comprising 14 partners, the Collaborative supports interdisciplinary research on cities and human mobility. Understanding human mobility patterns, their impact on cities, and the role that cities can play for facilitating human mobility and the integration of different communities require an interdisciplinary approach through the application of innovative methods and the analysis of new data.
The Collaborative brings together a global community of scholars with the purpose of researching and addressing pressing social, economic and governance challenges in relation to mobility and citizenship in urban areas. It aims to produce new evidence, contribute to debates, and establish a bridge between the academic community and policy-makers to support knowledge communication, exchange, and cross-sectoral collaboration and prepare the next generation of thinkers.
